Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 9-1 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-8 record.

With the loss, New Castle falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Moniteau (West Sunbury, PA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Moniteau won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA)
