Indiana High School Softball - Rising Sun bounces Switzerland County

May 5, 2023: Vevay, IN 47043

Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Switzerland County Pacers (Vevay, IN), 11-3 in a league challenge.

The Shiners now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Decatur for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Rising Sun will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Waldron (Waldron, IN). The Chargers record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Switzerland County falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Pacers travel to Milan (Milan, IN) to battle the Indians in a Ohio River Valley challenge on Monday, May 8. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 13-8. Milan lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hauser (Hope, IN)
