Massachusetts High School Lacrosse - King Philip Regional held off by Nantucket
May 5, 2024: Wrentham, MA 02093 Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) boosters exited the stadium content Sunday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host King Philip Regional Warriors (Wrentham, MA), 7-6 in a non-league battle.
The Whalers now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Barnstable for a Cape and Islands - Atlantic battle on Tuesday, May 7. Nantucket will clash with a Red Hawks squad coming off a 13-7 league win over Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA). The Red Hawks record now stands at 3-8.
In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Attleboro Bombardiers (Attleboro, MA) in a Hockomock battle, on Monday, May 6. King Philip Regional will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record. The Bombardiers come into the battle with a 5-7 record after their 17-1 league loss to North Attleborough (North Attleborough, MA).
