New Jersey High School Softball - St. Mary bounces Cedar Creek
May 5, 2024: Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215 St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ), 14-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Gaels now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Harrison for a NJIC - National challenge on Tuesday, May 7. St. Mary will battle a Blue Tide squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ). The Blue Tide record now stands at 4-11.
With the loss, Cedar Creek falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Pirates host St. Joseph (Hammonton, NJ) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. St. Joseph won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ)
