The Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) baseball trounced the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 8-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Foothillers now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they host Steele Canyon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 7. Grossmont will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 10-9 league win over West Hills (Santee, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 11-5.

With the defeat, El Capitan drops to 2-14 on the year.
