May 5, 2025: Stanford, IL 61774 Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Unity Christian/Argenta Oreana/Decatur Christian Lions (Forsyth, IL), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Olympia moves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL) to clash with the Grey Ghosts in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. The Grey Ghosts come into the test with a record of 2-15. Illinois Valley Central lost 4-0 in their recent league test against Monticello (Monticello, IL)
The Lions now sport a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Decatur Eisenhower for a non-league test on Thursday, May 8. Unity Christian/Argenta Oreana/Decatur Christian will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 10-1 league loss to Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-15.
