Kansas High School Softball - Nemaha Central sneaks past Hiawatha
May 5, 2025: Seneca, KS 66538 The Nemaha Central Thunder softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Hiawatha Red Hawks to 6 in the Thunder league win on Monday.
The Thunder now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson West for a Big Seven battle on Thursday, May 8. Nemaha Central will confront a Tigers team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Holton (Holton, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 16-4.
With the loss, Hiawatha moves to 7-13 on the season. The Red hawks host Rossville (Rossville, KS) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 8. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 6-4. Rossville won 11-8 in their recent league battle against Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS)
