May 6, 2021: West Warwick, RI 02893 In Thursday's league game, the visiting North Smithfield Northmen baseball team scored a tight 6-1 victory over the West Warwick Wizards.

In the top of the fifth inning, North Smithfield broke open a scoreless game with one run on one error, one stolen base, a wild pitch and fielder's choice.
In the top of the sixth inning, North Smithfield took advantage of another West Warwick error and opportunistically made it 2-0 on a fielder's choice with the bases loaded.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, West Warwick had runners at second base with one out, but the Northmen made two solid plays on line drives by Kyle Rossignol and Liam Gravier to end the threat.
In the top of the seventh inning, the Green and Gold broke open the game with four runs on four hits.
