Illinois High School Softball - Hoopeston can't get by Heritage
May 6, 2021: Hoopeston, IL 60942 In Thursday's non-league contest, the Heritage Hawks (Broadlands, IL) softball team held off the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Heritage moves its record to 1-6 on the year. The Hawks travel to Neoga (Neoga, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 11. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 0-5. Neoga lost 12-2 in their recent league contest against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL)
In their next game, the Cornjerkers play the Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL) in a Vermilion Valley contest, on Monday, May 10. Hoopeston will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Storm come into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Meridian (Macon, IL).
