The Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Tornadoes routed the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Tornadoes (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Mt. Pulaski was routed by PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL), 21-5, in a non-league battle.

The Railsplitters now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Olympia for a non-league battle on Friday, May 7. Lincoln will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 17-0 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-0.
