Illinois High School Baseball - Evanston gets by St. Patrick
May 6, 2023: Evanston, IL 60201 Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting St. Patrick Shamrocks (Chicago, IL), 9-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Evanston moves its record to 23-3 on the campaign. The Wildkits host Maine East (Park Ridge, IL) to face the Blue Demons in a Central Suburban - North bout on Saturday, May 6. The Blue Demons enter the bout with a record of 2-12. Maine East lost 18-5 in their recent league bout against Highland Park (Highland Park, IL)
Next, the Shamrocks battle the Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic test, on Monday, May 8. St. Patrick will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Corsairs come into the test with a 11-12 record after their 10-0 league loss to Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL).
