Michigan High School Baseball - Zeeland East defeats Sparta
May 6, 2023: Zeeland, MI 49464 Zeeland East Chix (Zeeland, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI), 8-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Zeeland East upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Chix travel to Mona Shores (Norton Shores, MI) to battle the Sailors in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 9. The Sailors come into the test with a record of 17-4. Mona Shores lost 12-2 in their recent non-league test against North Muskegon (North Muskegon, MI)
With the defeat, Sparta falls to 5-6 on the season. The Spartans host NorthPointe Christian (Grand Rapids, MI) to battle the Mustangs in a Ottawa-Kent - Silver test on Tuesday, May 9. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 2-3.
