New York High School Lacrosse - Johnstown drops to Greenwich
May 6, 2023: Johnstown, NY 12095 Greenwich Witches (Greenwich, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the host Johnstown Sir Bills (Johnstown, NY), 16-11 in a non-league battle.
The Witches now have a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Schenectady for a Section 2 Wasaren battle on Tuesday, May 9. Greenwich will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Catholic Central (Troy, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 6-7.
In their next game, the Sir Bills clash with the Scotia-Glenville Tartans (Scotia, NY) in a Section 2 Foothills battle, on Tuesday, May 9. Johnstown will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Tartans come into the battle with a 7-6 record after their 8-7 league win over Glens Falls (Glens Falls, NY).
