In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN), by a margin of 11-0.

With the triumph, New Prairie moves its record to 20-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Rossville (Rossville, IN) to play the Hornets in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 6. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 12-4. Rossville won 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Bremen (Bremen, IN)

In their next game, the Red Devils play the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) in a Northwest Crossroads contest, on Tuesday, May 9. Lowell will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Fighting 59ers come into the contest with a 18-6 record after their 4-1 league win over Highland (Highland, IN).
