Oregon High School Softball - St. Helens can't hold off Astoria
May 6, 2024: Astoria, OR 97103 The Astoria Fishermen softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting St. Helens Lions to 1 in the Fishermen league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Astoria improves its record to 12-6 on the year. The Fishermen host Seaside (Seaside, OR) to clash with the Seagulls in a 4A Cowapa game on Tuesday, May 7. The Seagulls come into the game with a record of 9-10. Seaside won 8-4 in their recent league game against Tillamook (Tillamook, OR)
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) in a 4A Cowapa game, on Wednesday, May 8. St. Helens will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Fishermen come into the game with a 13-6 record after their 13-0 league win over Seaside (Seaside, OR).
