May 6, 2024: Barry, IL 62312 The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Barry Western Wildcats (Barry, IL) and the visiting North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL), saw Barry Western's softball squad nip North Greene by a count of 5-1.
The Wildcats now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seymour for a West Central match on Wednesday, May 8. Barry Western will face a Indians squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL). The Indians record now stands at 13-16.
With the loss, North Greene falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Spartans host Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL) to face the Minutemen in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 7.
