New Jersey High School Softball - Montclair bounces Kent Place
May 6, 2024: Montclair, NJ 07042 Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kent Place Dragons (Summit, NJ), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Mounties now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Cedar Grove for a SEC - American challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Montclair will face a Panthers squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Millburn (Millburn, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 12-7.
With the loss, Kent Place falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Rahway (Rahway, NJ) to face the Indians in a UCC - Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Rahway lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Kennedy Memorial (Iselin, NJ)
