May 6, 2024: Birmingham, AL 35223 The Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL) softball nipped the host Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL), 6-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 21-19 record. They take the field next when they host Pell City for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Oxford will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Gardendale (Gardendale, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 35-16.
With the loss, Mountain Brook falls to 17-18 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Gardendale (Gardendale, AL) to battle the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 28-11. Gardendale won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Parker (Birmingham, AL)
