The Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) baseball trounced the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), 9-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they host Bath County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 8. Model will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-12.

With the defeat, Bourbon County drops to 2-16 on the year. The Colonels host Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY) to clash with the Indians in a District 40 challenge on Wednesday, May 7. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 15-10. Montgomery County lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Estill County (Irvine, KY)
