Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) and the host Portage Indians (Portage, IN), observed Morgan Township's volleyball team top Portage by a count of 3-0.

The Cherokees (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Fighting 59ers enter the non-league contest with a 23-4 record. In their last contest, Andrean notched a victory over Munster (Munster, IN), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Indians battle the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) in a IBVCA contest, on Thursday, May 8. Portage will attempt to move on its 5-16 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 16-10 record after their 3-0 league win over La Porte (La Porte, IN).
