May 7, 2021: Beacon Falls, CT 06403 The Thomaston Bears baseball team (Thomaston, CT), was overwhelmed 9-3 in Friday's non-league outing with the host Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT)
The Hawks now hold a 12-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Naugatuck for a Naugatuck Valley - Copper outing on Saturday, May 8. Woodland Regional will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 7-3 league loss to Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Greyhounds record now stands at 5-4.
Next, the Bears confront the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) in a Berkshire outing, on Saturday, May 8. Thomaston will attempt to advance on its 9-2 season record. The Chiefs go into the outing with a 10-1 record after their 22-1 league win over Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT).
