St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD), 8-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, St. John's upgrades its record to 24-6 on the season. The Cadets travel to Gonzaga (Washington, DC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, May 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 18-10. Gonzaga won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Paul VI (Chantilly, VA)

With the defeat, DeMatha falls to 25-6 on the season.
