The Highland Park Giants held off the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league test.

The Giants now have a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Niles West for a Central Suburban North test on Thursday, May 9. Highland Park will confront a Wolves team coming off a 2-1 league win over Maine West (Des Plaines, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 13-15.

The Cougars (23-7) will now prepare for their test against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL). The Blue Demons enter the Central Suburban North test with a 12-18 record. In their last test, Maine East was nudged by Niles North (Skokie, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
