Connecticut High School Softball - Wheeler bounces Windham RVT
May 7, 2024: North Stonington, CT 06359 Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Windham RVT Mighty Tigers (Willimantic, CT), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lyman Memorial for a Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge on Thursday, May 9. Wheeler will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-11.
With the loss, Windham RVT falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Mighty tigers travel to Grasso Tech (Groton, CT) to battle the Eagles in a Connecticut Tech challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
