Virginia High School Soccer - Yorktown nudges Woodson
May 7, 2025: Arlington, VA 22207 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA), saw Yorktown's soccer squad hold off Woodson by a count of 1-0.
The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Hornets enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Herndon Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA), 0-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cavaliers battle the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 9. Woodson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 6-3 record after their 5-2 league loss to Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA).
