Virginia High School Softball - Kecoughtan bounces Lakeland
May 7, 2025: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA) softball routed the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 16-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Warriors now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denbigh for a Peninsula outing on Thursday, May 8. Kecoughtan will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 18-2 league loss to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 7-9.
With the loss, Lakeland moves to 3-10 on the season. The Cavaliers host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to encounter the Warriors in a Southeastern outing on Thursday, May 8. The Warriors come into the outing with a record of 8-7. Nansemond River lost 6-2 in their recent league outing against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)
