McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH), 21-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, McDonald upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Blue Devils host Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH) to play the Rams in a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet game on Thursday, May 8. The Rams enter the game with a record of 15-5. Mineral Ridge won 11-9 in their recent league game against Memorial (Campbell, OH)

The Blue Devils now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Aquinas for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Western Reserve will play a Knights squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to John F. Kennedy Catholic (Warren, OH). The Knights record now stands at 0-14.
