The Southington Blue Knights overwhelmed the host Platt Panthers softball squad by a count of 21-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Knights meet the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 8. Southington will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Hand (Madison, CT).

The Panthers (1-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Maloney (Meriden, CT). The Spartans go into the Central Connecticut - South challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Maloney toppled Newington (Newington, CT), 11-10, in a non-league challenge.
