The Springfield Spartans baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Ellet Orangement to 0 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 4-13 record. They take the field next when they host Mogadore for a non-league test on Friday, May 8. Springfield will play a Wildcats team coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Ravenna (Ravenna, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Ellet drops to 8-10 on the year. The Orangement travel to Firestone (Akron, OH) to play the Falcons in a Akron City Series test on Monday, May 11. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 9-5.
