Illinois High School Softball - Olympia gets by East Peoria
May 8, 2021: Stanford, IL 61774 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) and the visiting East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), witnessed Olympia's softball squad tip East Peoria by a count of 3-2.
The Spartans now sport a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to Pekin for a non-league match on Saturday, May 8. Olympia will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Richwoods (Peoria, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, East Peoria moves to 9-4 on the season. The Raiders travel to Washington (Washington, IL) to meet the Panthers in a Mid-Illini match on Tuesday, May 11. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 8-3. Washington won 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL)
