New York High School Baseball - Alfred-Almond defeats Andover
May 8, 2023: Almond, NY 14804 Alfred-Almond Eagles (Almond, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Andover Panthers (Andover, NY), 6-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Alfred-Almond upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Eagles host Campbell-Savona (Campbell, NY) to battle the Panthers in a Section 5 Steuben County test on Wednesday, May 10. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 11-3. Campbell-Savona won 11-1 in their recent league test against Addison (Addison, NY)
With the defeat, Andover falls to 4-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Genesee Valley (Belmont, NY) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 9. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 6-6. Genesee Valley won 16-0 in their recent non-league test against Jasper-Troupsburg (Jasper, NY)
