The Blacksburg Bruins softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Franklin County Eagles to 2 in the Bruins non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Blacksburg moves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Bruins host Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA) to clash with the Patriots in a River Ridge game on Tuesday, May 9. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 4-15. Patrick Henry lost 4-0 in their recent non-league game against Floyd County (Floyd, VA)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge game, on Tuesday, May 9. Franklin County will attempt to move on its 14-4 season record.
