New York High School Softball - Pine Plains holds off Highland
May 8, 2023: Highland, NY 12528 The crowd at Monday's league match between the Pine Plains Bombers (Pine Plains, NY) and the host Highland Huskies (Highland, NY), saw Pine Plains's softball squad nip Highland by a count of 5-3.
The Bombers now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Marlboro Central for a Mid Hudson Athletic match on Tuesday, May 9. Pine Plains will face a Dukes squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Dukes record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, Highland falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Huskies host Wallkill (Wallkill, NY) to face the Panthers in a Mid Hudson Athletic match on Tuesday, May 9. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 7-6. Wallkill lost 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY)
