Ohio High School Softball - New Riegel bounces Vanlue
May 8, 2023: New Riegel, OH 44853 New Riegel Blue Jackets (New Riegel, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Jackets now sport a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hopewell-Loudon for a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Tuesday, May 9. New Riegel will face a Chieftains squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Lakota (Kansas, OH). The Chieftains record now stands at 21-0.
With the loss, Vanlue falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Arlington (Arlington, OH) to face the Red Devils in a Blanchard Valley challenge on Wednesday, May 10. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Arlington lost 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against McComb (McComb, OH)
