Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), 13-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Greenbrier West upgrades its record to 10-12 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV) to battle the Irish in a non-league test on Thursday, May 9. The Irish come into the test with a record of 20-3. Charleston Catholic won 15-1 in their recent non-league test against Richwood (Richwood, WV)

With the defeat, Midland Trail falls to 10-16 on the season. The Patriots host Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV) to battle the Warriors in a non-league test on Thursday, May 9. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-11. Pocahontas County lost 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Richwood (Richwood, WV)
