May 8, 2024: Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) and the visiting Pompton Lakes Cardinals (Pompton Lakes, NJ), witnessed Pequannock's softball squad tip Pompton Lakes by a count of 8-3.
The Golden Panthers now sport a 6-17 record. They play next when they travel to West Essex for a non-league match on Thursday, May 9. Pequannock will meet a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.
With the loss, Pompton Lakes moves to 7-10 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Glen Rock (Glen Rock, NJ) to meet the Panthers in a NJIC - Colonial match on Friday, May 10. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 15-4. Glen Rock won 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ)
