In Thursday's league game, the visiting Covenant Christian Warriors baseball team scored a close 5-3 win over the Beech Grove Hornets.

The Warriors (11-6) will now prepare for their game against Heritage Christian (Indianapolis, IN). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 10-4 record. In their last game, Heritage Christian nudged Indianapolis Scecina Memorial (Indianapolis, IN), 5-3, in a non-league game.

Next, the Hornets play the Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) in a Indiana Crossroads game, on Tuesday, May 13. Beech Grove will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Sparkplugs go into the game with a 3-13 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Park Tudor (Indianapolis, IN).
