In Thursday's league game, the host Branham Bruins baseball team scored a close 8-3 victory over the Pioneer Mustangs.

The Bruins (12-9) will now prepare for their game against Leigh (San Jose, CA). The Longhorns enter the Mount Hamilton game with a 19-5 record. In their last game, Leigh was overwhelmed by Christopher (Gilroy, CA), 7-5, in a league game.
