The Christian Brothers Academy Colts (Lincroft, NJ) volleyball held off the visiting Colts Neck Cougars (Colts Neck, NJ), 2-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Colts now possess a 7-9 record.

With the loss, Colts Neck drops to 11-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ) to clash with the Mustangs in a Shore - A North bout on Monday, May 12. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 10-4.

The Colts came into this match with a chip on their shoulder. Just 2 days earlier, Colts Neck dominated CBA 2-0 and took the first set 25-10. This CBA team wasn't going to allow that to happen again as they pulled off the upset 2-1. The first set was a back and forth thriller in which the Colts eventually took in extra points 28-26. Credit to Colts Neck taking the 2nd set coming from behind. But the boys of CBA didn't blink in the 3rd set as they led most of the way and won comfortably 25-18.
