May 8, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50317 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA) and the host Grand View Christian Thunder (Des Moines, IA), saw Chariton's soccer squad hold off Grand View Christian by a count of 2-1.
The Chargers (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA). The Tigerhawks enter the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Colfax-Mingo tipped Clarke (Osceola, IA), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Thunder confront the Albia Blue Demons (Albia, IA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 12. Grand View Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Blue Demons enter the battle with a 10-4 record after their 2-2 non-league Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA).
