Kansas High School Soccer - Maize South nudges Kapaun Mt. Carmel
May 8, 2025: Wichita, KS 67205 The Maize South Mavericks soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders to 2 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Mavericks now hold a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Derby for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I bout on Monday, May 12. Maize South will play a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North (Wichita, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 15-1.
With the loss, Kapaun Mt. Carmel moves to 9-4 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Saturday, May 10. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Blue Valley Southwest won 8-0 in their recent non-league bout against Leavenworth (Leavenworth, KS)
