The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN) and the host Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN), saw DeKalb's baseball team gain a win over Huntington North by a tally of 5-1.

The Barons (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (Fort Wayne, IN). The Saints enter the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was overwhelmed by Fort Wayne Snider (Fort Wayne, IN), 8-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Vikings face the Oak Hill Golden Eagles (Converse, IN) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 12. Huntington North will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Frankton (Frankton, IN).
