The Mt. Zion Braves softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters to 0 in the Braves non-league win on Thursday.

The Braves now possess a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charleston for a Apollo battle on Saturday, May 10. Mt. Zion will confront a Trojans team coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Paris (Paris, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, Lincoln moves to 14-14 on the season. The Railsplitters travel to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to confront the Vikings in a non-league battle on Monday, May 12. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 18-4. Tri-Valley won 7-6 in their recent non-league battle against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL)
