New York High School Softball - Oriskany drops to West Canada Valley
May 8, 2025: Newport, NY 13416 West Canada Valley Nighthawks (Newport, NY) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Oriskany Skyhawks (Oriskany, NY), 28-16 in a league game.
With the triumph, West Canada Valley improves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Nighthawks host Little Falls (Little Falls, NY) to play the Mounties in a non-league game on Monday, May 12. The Mounties enter the game with a record of 6-1.
The Skyhawks now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Little Falls for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Oriskany will play a Mounties squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Adirondack (Boonville, NY). The Mounties record now stands at 5-1.
