Ohio High School Softball - St. John bounces Bloomfield
May 9, 2023: Ashtabula, OH 44004 St. John Fighting Herald (Ashtabula, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bloomfield Cardinals (North Bloomfield, OH), 12-5 in a league challenge.
The Fighting Herald now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chalker for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. St. John will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-5.
With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH) to battle the Skippers in a Northeastern Athletic challenge on Wednesday, May 10. The Skippers enter the challenge with a record of 0-14. Harding lost 15-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Cardinal (Middlefield, OH)
