Michigan High School Softball - Caledonia bounces West Ottawa
May 9, 2023: Holland, MI 49424 Caledonia Fighting Scots (Caledonia, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host West Ottawa Panthers (Holland, MI), 15-1 in a league challenge.
The Fighting Scots now own a 7-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grand Haven for a Ottawa-Kent - Red challenge on Thursday, May 11. Caledonia will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Jenison (Jenison, MI). The Buccaneers record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, West Ottawa falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hamilton (Hamilton, MI) to face the Hawkeyes in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Hawkeyes enter the challenge with a record of 19-6. Hamilton lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Ravenna (Ravenna, MI)
