The Jones Trojans softball team scored 21 runs and limited the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings to 1 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Jones improves its record to 10-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to clash with the Hurricanes in a non-league game on Friday, May 12. The Hurricanes come into the game with a record of 21-3. Pamlico County won 7-0 in their recent non-league game against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)
