Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they host Marengo for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. Ottawa will battle a Indians squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Indians record now stands at 25-3.

With the loss, Rochelle falls to 5-16 on the campaign. The Hubs travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to battle the Cavaliers in a Interstate Eight challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 22-3. LaSalle-Peru won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Plano (Plano, IL)
