Illinois High School Softball - Normal West bounces Centennial
May 9, 2024: Normal, IL 61761 Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL), 17-2 in a league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Moline United for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. Normal West will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Moline (Moline, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 17-8.
With the loss, Centennial falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Chargers host Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to battle the Maroons in a Big Twelve challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Maroons enter the challenge with a record of 15-11. Champaign Central lost 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL)
