Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbirds now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Country Union for a Metro challenge on Saturday, May 11.

With the loss, Champlain Valley Union falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT) to battle the Cougars in a Metro challenge on Tuesday, May 14.
